I do my third compare during last 6 years. I did it every two year.

  1. I know this thread is old, however…
Just to point out Optik usually is delivered over adsl, NOT fiber. Only if you’re really, really lucky in a very new community will you have fiber running to your house!

  2. FROM EDMONTON
TELUS: for 1 year $30/month for cable, internet, & phone
    $81/month after 1 year.
    TOTAL $2304 over 3 years
SHAW charged me $110/month for cable, internet, & phone
    TOTAL $3960 over 3 years
    $3960
    $2304
    =======
$1656 SAVINGS WITH TELUS AS OPPOSED TO SHAW!!!

  3. Hi Alex,
Thank you for your pointing out.
It is Shaw Digital Phone Lite.
For Telus services, I mentioned Optik TV and Optik Internet. It is not regular High speed internet. They use fibre optics tech.

  4. Hey David,
Just a few corrections on your comparison.
Shaw Basic Home Phone is $20.95 bundled or $30.95 standalone and includes Call Display and free Shaw-to-Shaw calling.
The package you quoted is the Shaw Lite Phone.
Also Shaw Internet includes “Powerboost” which is a feature that boosts up the download speed.

You have also listed Telus internet speed at $37 which is their bundled price. Also $23 is the bundled price for Telus Basic TV. It is $28 unbundled.
