EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free

I would like to introduce a data recovery software from EaseUS. It is available for both Windows and Mac.

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free

Save your data from the deleted files, deleted folders, formatted drive, or crupted system from the Desktop, Laptop, or the portable drive, such as SD card, MicroSD card.

The installation file for Windows is about 22MB.  The whole procedure is as simple as four steps.

  1. Download the EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free 11.6. Install it on the drive which is not you want to recover the data
  2. From the desktop or where you installed, launch the program
  3. After choosing the device, you can scan the drive, maybe deep scanning, then find the missing file
  4. Recover it to the new location

That’s it. As simple as a few clicks.

EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard supports different file system, including FAT, exFAT, NTFS, NTFS5, ext2, ext3, HFS+. It can be installed on different operation system, from Windows 10 to XP, Windows Server, or Mac OS.

Screenshots

It can recover the data from local C drive on the PC, from USB drive, from SD card, or other digital devices.

The first look of the program. When I plug in a USB drive, it recognized it. When I plug in an SD card, which Windows treated as unformatted, is recognized.

The deleted files in my Kingston USB drive.

I recovered a file successfully. The free version has 500M limit.

The what so called unformatted SD card. It can scan the SD card and find as many as files from lost partition. So amazing.

It is best  memory card recovery  software. I will highly recommend it to everyone. The 2GB limit for the free version. $69.95 for an unlimited amount of data you can recover. Even one photo file in a memory card from your camera is more valuable than the price.

Storage increased by 20%:

  • Linode 512 goes from 20GB to 24GB
  • Linode 1GB goes from 40GB to 48GB

  • Linode 4GB goes from 160GB to 192GB
  • Linode 8GB goes from 320GB to 384GB

Add memory to make my PC faster

My desktop is a DIY pc which I built in 2008.
The only one part changed is motherboard. I use ASUS P5Q se until now.
The OS on it is Windows 7 ultimate 32bit. Because I use 2GB memory only, the performance is not that good. The Windows Experience Index is 5.5.
Processor: 5.9
Memory(RAM): 5.5
Graphics: 7.1
Gaming Graphics: 7.1
Primary hard disk: 5.9
So Base score is 5.5.
Today, I bought 2X2GB memory from Future Shop.
Crucial 4GB 2X2GB PC2-6400 DDR2-800 CL6 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit.
I got price match at Future Shop with NCIX. So I paid $59.91.

Disable Trackback sitewide

During the past 6 months, all trackbacks are spams. To save the resource of my server, I disable the trackback service sitewide.
I hope to see the CPU and Memory usage drop in the future.
There are still some problem of MovableType on Dreamhost.
Dreamhost is good. I use it for many small sites. But right now, I fell it is more restrict on memory usage. Any time I publish one post, 500 error comes. If rebuild site, situation worse.
I will keep watch it and see if it is getting better. Or I may transfer to VPS.

Reduce memory usage of Apache on Centos server

There are so many tips you can google, some are very complicated, some are useless.
Now I want to share my experience to reduce memory usage of Apache on Centos server.
You have to have Webmin installed on your server first.
Server >> Apache Webserver >> Global configuration >> Processes and Limits
There are three figures you can change to reduce the memory usage.
Maximum spare server processes: 20 (default), I changed it to 10
Minimum spare server processes: 5 (default), I changed it to 4
Initial server processes: 8 (default), I changed it to 5.
The total memory usage reduced from about 500M to 300M.
Every httpd occupied 20M roughly. So I cut 10 server processes, is to save about 200M memory.

Enable Memcache on phpBB 3

First of all, I need Memcache to be installed in the server.
I don’t want say too much about installation of Memcache. The topic is MAKE MEMCACHE WORK ON PHPBB3.
First get acm_memcache.php from code center of phpbb.
Put this file under /root/includes/acm/
There is acm_file.php already.
Then modify config.php
Replace $acm_type = ‘file’
by
$acm_type = ‘memcache’
That’s all.
Of course, if you do not use the default memcache installation, you need to config acm_memcache.php to let it know your IP and port.
