Google Sitemap Generator beta release

Google just release its new beta Google Sitemap Generator program.
Sitemaps are an easy way for webmasters to inform search engines about pages on their sites that are available for crawling. By creating and submitting Sitemaps to search engines, you are more likely to get better freshness and coverage in search engines.
This program works on Windows IIS, Linux i386, and Linux 64bit. Licensed under Apache License 2.0.
I have not tried this program. It said it can make XML Sitemaps for Web Search, Mobile Sitemaps for mobile-friendly websites, and Code Search Sitemaps for source code.

Google partnered with Dreamhost

When I add a new domain on the control panel of Dreamhost, Google’s logo catch my eyeball.
Now users can Set up,,, and, free with Google.
And use Gmail as email provider.
And the last is Google Page Creator for hosting. All free.

If you want better email service, not he simple web mail interface, I suggested you use Gmail. It is part of Google Apps services. Google Page Creator is good for new site owner without HTML knowledge. It is easy to use and similar to word processor.

Google Chart API

Google introduced it Chart API last December.
For reference, I noted here my tips.
I need a 3D Pie chart. The code should looks like below:

<img src=”,10,40&chs=500×200&chl=PR|HTTP Status|Whois”/>

The code can break down as shown here:
“cht=p3” is the chart type, in this case, a 3D pie chart.
“chd=t:50,10,40” are the chart values, text-encoded, and separated by a comma.
The number should be ranged from 0 to 100.
“chs=500×200” is the custom chart size, 500 by 200 pixels.
“chl=PR|HTTP Status|Whois” are the different labels for the pie chart sections, separated via the pipe character. Chinese is not supported by Chart API.
chart types include: line charts, bar charts, pie charts, Venn diagrams & scatterplots.

2. Activate it in the Plugin options
3. Edit or publish a post, or click on Rebuild Sitemap on the Option/Sitemap’s
Look at the following Sitemap Administration Interface. There are so many configurations.

Do we need to modify it?
No! Only if you want. Default values should be ok!
I like this plugin and recommend it to all WordPress users. This sitemap will be accepted by Google webmasters and Yahoo site explorer.
The default site-map will be something like
This is a good site of Chinese Recipes.

Gmail notifier on Google Toolbar 3.0 for Firefox

I just installed the Google Toolbar 3.0 for Firefox.
I saw the new feature, maybe not, which will notify you the incoming Gmail.
When you have some new Gmail, the Gmail icon looks like that in following picture. You can click the triangle right to the Gmail icon, the pulldown menu will show you the title of new emails.

When you click the Gmail icon, and open the Gmail interface, the icon will be changed to normal.

Try Google Toolbar for Firefox 3

I use Firefox for all my regular web use, except some special web site I have to use IE Tab.
The current Google Toolbar for Firefox I used is 2.1.

Some IE version features were not provided on Firefox version. Say, Google Bookmarks, Google Accounts login.
Now Google release the 3.0 Google Toolbar 3.0 for Firefox.
This my most wanted feature. So I don’t need Firefox Google Bookmarks any more.

This is also a good improvement for Google Toolbar.
