A very handy tool set from Dremel to make a case of Raspberry Pi

When I received the Raspberry Pi board, I thought I will make a case for it.
So, first I made a paper case here to have a little idea. Then I am looking for the box or case with similar size.
I went to Daiso, called as Toonie store, everything is two dollars.
I found paper clips with box. The box is perfect right. I bought it and gave all clips to my daughters. They need it for homework.
It is a box, need to be cut the hole or opening for ports of Rasperberry Pi.
To do this job, I need the tool for cutting.
After two days research and comparison, I decide to buy Dremel 3000 tool. Today, I went to Canadian Tire and paid $78.39 with Tax.
It is a set.

Some changes of blog

During past few days, I did some modification on my blog here to accomodate the social media changes.
First, I removed Digg button code from templates. Not just because of the traffic from Digg is very limited, but the Digg API was not working any more. Digg has a big change on their own side. I will wait and see the future of it.
Second, I replace the Facebook like button code from the MovableType plugins code to Facebook native code.
I put it just under the post title, before the content of post. It looks good.
Third, add Twitter button, just add it in the place which Digg used before.
I use the code from Twitter Developer site.

Diskeeper Pro Premier 2010

I downloaded the trial version of Diskeeper Pro Premier 2010 and installed it on my Desktop.
There are a few features I like.
New! IntelliWrite™ fragmentation prevention technology. IntelliWrite prevents up to 85% of the fragmentation every system suffers from. It intelligently writes contiguous files to the disk so system resources are not wasted creating fragmentation. The results? A whole new level of system speed and efficiency.
InvisiTasking® technology enables management-free defragmentation with zero management overhead and zero system overhead. Now improved for busy systems. Having to schedule defrag runs is now a thing of the past.
I-FAAST® technology (Intelligent File Access Acceleration Sequencing Technology) automatically boosts access speeds for the most commonly used files.
Free Space Defragmentation Engine has been enhanced to increase file-write performance.

7z command to compress file with date as file name

It is one step of my backup script under Windows 2000. Of course it works under Windows XP.
First, I use 7z as my default compress tool. Not because of it is a free, Open Source software, but it supports more format and compress methods.
The command program is 7z.exe under the installation of 7z package.
You can download it from here.

Solve the Trouble with a cURL request in PHP

I have a HTTP status check online tool here. It is made by PHP with cURL extension.
The trouble is some responses are good. Someone tell me that the url should be 302 redir or 200 Ok, but the tool shows 403 Forbidden.
After doing some search and study, I find the problem of some server that don’t accept the Header request only.
Anytime you set the option…
PHP Code:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_NOBODY, true);

CURLOPT_NOBODY automatically shifts the request to a HEAD, type request, so most servers don’t allow HEAD type requests, results most times in 403 errors, so you use…
PHP Code:

curl_setopt($ch, CURLOPT_CUSTOMREQUEST, ‘GET’);

So cURL, will send the request as GET or POST, but still only really make a HEAD request because the CURLOPT_NOBODY flag was set to true, which causes cURL to read only up to the end of the response header.

One good search tool

Craagle is a small tool, a search tool specialized on all kinds of software cracks, serial keys and DVD covers.
I doing some search by Search Engine. Lots of results came.
The problem was when I tried to download it, my Symantec AntiVirus always reported something wrong and deleted the file.
What’s wrong about this file?
OK, I went to the Symantec site and see how risk it is.

Updated: October 25, 2007 4:20:50 PM
Type: Potentially Unwanted App
Name: Craagle
Version: 1.9.0.0
Risk Impact: Low
Systems Affected: Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows Vista, Windows NT, Windows Server 2003, Windows 2000
When the program is executed, it creates the following files:
%CurrentFolder%\craagle.ini
%CurrentFolder%\proxy.txt
The program helps users to query search engines for software cracks, serial keys, and DVD covers.

craagle-191

It is clear, Craagle is not a virus or spyware. It is a search tool only.
It is wonderful tool. When you want to try some software for a while, I suggest you use this tool to get what you want.
The link I tested safe is here.
Oh! I almost forget the purpose of this post.
