Two small home appliances

It is kind of a curse for my trip. Every time I take a trip. There is something broken in my house when I am back. I paid a visit to  San Francisco for sixteen days early this month. When I am back home, I find two small appliances broken.

1) The electric water heater/dispenser can not keep warm.

2) The coffeemaker’s plug is very hot. Sometimes the circuit breaker jumped.

Both are about 7 years old.

So my wife and I decided to get a new one to replace them.

At Costco Warehouse, we bought a Tiger 4L hot water boiler. $179.99 before tax.

After a few days’ use, I am happy with it.

It is quiet when I press the dispense button.  I can easily tell if it needs to be added to water.

One-year warranty.

We bought a Black+Decker 12-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker at Longdon Drugs.

I went to Walmart first. It is $39.99 at Walmart. It is on sale at LondonDrugs with $5 discount.

There are so many choices on the market. I like it because it is simple. It is 12 cups. My previous one is 14 cups. During the past seven years, we brewed coffee 12 cups max.

We don’t need those fancy features. The features we will never use.

2-year warranty.

12-cup coffeemaker

Fast brewing for up to 12 cups of coffee.

Digital controls

QuickTouch programming lets you set the digital clock and program the 24-hour auto brew feature so you can brew coffee now or later.

Vortex technology water flow

The exclusive showerhead design evenly saturates coffee grounds, resulting in maximum flavor.

2-hour auto shutoff

For added safety and peace of mind with every use.

Sneak-A-Cup feature

Temporarily stops the flow of coffee so you can pour your first cup before brewing ends without making a mess.

The main reason for this post is to record the time we bought them. It is July 25th.
