Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption

I visited the principal church of the Archdiocese of San Francisco on June 4. It is a warm day. I walked there from the dialysis center.

I still remember I went there last year before Christmas. The church is closed for decoration. So I tried this time.

I am in the parking lot of the church.

The organ.

The magnificent organ, designed specifically for St. Mary’s , was made by the Ruffatti Brothers in Padua, Italy. I has 4842 pipes in 89 ranks, and 70 stops. The electropneumatic console has solid state circuity and can be moved to other locations in the Cathedral.
