在BC省的开车者，都必须购买ICBC的基本汽车保险，除此之外，还可以选择RoadsidePlus的附加险。

它可以为开车的人提供如下的额外保障：
＋ 代用车保障 － 如果汽车因为意外无法使用，RoadsidePlus会不计意外责任，马上提供代用交通工具。
＋ 旅行保障 － 如果出外旅行时，你的汽车不幸损毁或者被盗，而旅程少于30天的，RoadsidePlus会为你及你的乘客支付额外费用。

＋ 到达目的地交通费保障 － 当你的旅程因为你的汽车在家中或附近遇到意外、被盗或被破坏而受到影响的话，承担由该事件引起的交通费用。
＋ 紧急服务保障 － 当汽车故障不能使用时，让你召唤拖车或计程车，你的保险会支付有关费用。

在BC省的汽车都必须通过AirCare的测试，才可以上路，除了一些新车可以免除几年。

If a vehicle enters the through street without stopping at the stop sign and collides with traffic on the through street, the courts will generally rule that the vehicle that ran the stop sign is 100 per cent at fault. (Motor Vehicle Act, Section 186)
