There are two kinds of airport codes: three (IATA) and four (ICAO) letter-codes. Three-letter codes are used mostly on baggage tags and timetables, while four-letter codes are used on flight plans and other professional aviation publications. Usually the first two letters identify the country, except for the Continental USA, where codes usually start with a K, and the 3-letter code.
　　
　　The list below is sorted by three-letter codes and features the major airports the world. If you would like to find the codes for a specific airport, you can use the find function (usually under the Edit menu) of your browser and type in the name of the city, or the country.
